THAT'S IT! Playstation, you have betrayed me for the LAST TIME! I am TIRED of having to beat the sides of you to get my case open! (Literally! Otherwise, the damn thing sits there and sputters, like it's trying to open, but can't) I'm tired of getting "disc read error"s on everything I slip into your overused slit! I bought Gradius V three weeks ago! I STILL haven't gotten it to work in you, you blithering whore! I'm tired of having my choice in games made for me by your error messages! What's that? You won't read MVP Baseball 2005 - a two week old game - but you'll have no problem with NCAA March Madness? Guess I have to play March Madness! (Game update: I'm slaughtering Iona, 48-20, with Fairfield. First half. Figured I'd let the masses know. This is after a crushing loss by the #10 Stags in their last non-conference game to #1 Michigan State. And just for Heimdall... Sienna is 4-6) I'm tired of having my memory card not be read... especially in those "DO NOT REMOVE THIS CARD OR GOD WILL SMOTE YOU!!!" messages!

I guess I shouldn't bitch so much; after all, I've had you since 2001. And even though I have legitimate concerns that Tim Foster replaced my original one with you, you've still gotten me through four years, endless Franchise modes, and a victory in the 2003 USS George Washington Madden 2004 Tournament (which won me a car stereo system which I then promptly sold). You've cost me more money in controllers than I can count (I'm a slammer :( ). But... the fact that I can't currently play half my new games without a miracle is unforgivable. And for this, you shall pay.

I will be taking you into EB Games in a little while, and trading you in. The jury's out as to weather or not I'll be picking up the Ace Combat set or not.

It's been four long years, PS2. But... fuck you. My NES still works after 19 years. I've had GIRLFRIENDS that aren't that old. My Atari VCS still works after 24 years. Shit, my PONG still plays every now and then! Four years is not long enough for a piece of electronics to shit the bed.

...NES working after 19 years? Atari working after 24 years?!

They obviously made systems WAY more stable back then. O_O;;; That's impressive.

I wonder how much my time on the George Washington hurt my PS2 (I bought it while I was in the Navy). This thing's been through some shit. As long as you take care of a system, it should work for a very long time... and I can't say I've been perfect to thing thing, either; that's a consequence to living on an Aircraft Carrier.

And my NES and Atari aren't perfect, either; the NES has it's moments, and I think the Atari just might finally be nearing the end. Then again, those are old cartridges, too; I haven't tried it with the E.T. I just got off Ebay.

*nods* Point. That holds true for any electronics-I'm surprised my walkman is still working after the many times I've accidentally dropped it. XD;;

Ah.
Still, them lasting that long at all is impressive.

I've had my NES 12 years and it takes a few tries to get it going.

I'll still take this over an XBOX, though.

Nintendo systems are known to last, though. :)

Nintendo should manufacture body armor.

My PS2 is modded, and I bought it when it first came out, and I haven't had a single problem with it. o_O; I think I got lucky. After all, I had 3 PSX's die on me, so...

>:( Siena finished last in the MAAC this year w/ a 6W/24L record. The team that finished ahead of us had two less losses :) W00T for Siena. Not only that but they fired our coach, Rob Lanier because he sucks. A friend of mine (and MAAC Rookie of the Year if I'm not mistaken) Jack McClinton is probably leaving because of this D:

PS - I def. know how to pick them. Most of my systems haven't had problem...except my PS1. I had the Dual Shock one. I got pissed at it and made it jealous by buying myself the tiny white one :D That bitch is still sobbing away in storage :) And I've had my SNES for 12 yrs and my NES, although not originally mine...seems to predate my SNES by about 3 years. All I have to do is explore the inside to find out...:( But I don't want to...especially since a) it works and b) the casing is still GREY...not that nice yellow most people have thiers...:)

Well, to tell you how accurate NCAA March Madness really is, the last place team in the MAAC in my first year - the simulation of this year - was Niagara. :(

Third from last. However, SOMEHOW, they made the semis... and ran into my Stags.

One 54 point blowout later, their season was over. :(
