New SBNet article

I tackle four subjects in one here. Just go by bullets if you want to read something specific.

- A note about Karl Rove's aide resigning for being nailed in a corruption row. I also use this to rail about the hypocracy of the Republican government. I rambled a bit here, but it WAS 3:30AM at the time.

- A link to an article about "Flat Daddies/Mommies", which are lifesized, cardboard cutouts of soldiers that are overseas for their families to play with.

- Exposing the lies of stating that Guantanamo Bay has literally stopped two terrorist attacks.

And finally, something a few of my more feminist friends are already aware of...

- Comments about The Guardian's report on female rights in Iraq since our hostile takeover.

Next up: I tackle three game reviews (FIFA '07, Eastside Hockey Manager + Football Manager), and an opinion piece about the Wii Virtual Console, preferably with NoA's comments.

-- I am beginning to think that the only person who can kill Karl Rove is either a Jedi Knight or He-Man. The dude is a video game bad guy, I swear. He's only missing the evil laugh WAV file.

-- Standees? Retarded. Is the military budget that depleted?

-- Violating the Geneva Convention to stop supposed terrorist attacks is like shooting with a backwards gun.

-- Iraq is now officially known as the Republic of Shithole.

Football Manager '07 Gold Demo is out. I have to review it for IP.

I like what they did with it; everything's more streamlined now, and the feeder systems can be useful for teams in the lower levels, like the Championship or the Football League 1. I'm still not happy there's not a more helpful way to search the transfer wire (do you know how hard it is to find a decent midfielder for under 1.5 million GBP? Damn Everton's shitty transfer budget...); they have the information, I just wish they'd find a better way to get it to us, with the plethora of teams out there.

It's really easy to search for players in FM2006.

Just go to search, then players, then put these in the filters (Transfer status:transfer listed, positions:all midfield)

That's how I find my players.

Oh yeah! I mananged to pwn Manchester united 3-1 with middling german side Hannover 96 in the champions league qualifying round and draw them 3-3 at old trafford.

Why I am I telling you this? Because I want to brag to someone that actually knows wtf I'm talking about XD.

I'm surprised that Hannover 96 even MADE it to the Champions League qualifying stages. XD

That's almost as awesome... as my Everton team losing their first Friendly to Mons is terrible.

For those that don't know, Mons is a 2nd Divison team. In BELGIUM.

Don't worry about the friendlies. I barely manage to win those since all my players just slobbed on the sofa during their holiday and have zero fitness to speak of.

Here's a player to sign:Leandro Gioda argentian from Lanus.

I bought him for only 60k and paid him only 250 bucks a week and he's already a first team player in the Argentian national team! only 21 years old too!

Of course, now he thinks he's a big shot and wants to transfer to the "big clubs". >:O

Actually, I might not have that problem, Everton MIGHT be "big" enough. Unless all of a sudden, he thinks he's ready for the Reds or Liverpool...

He'll dump you. Trust me. He wants trophy teams like at least Newcastle at the very least.
