Just when I think I've left the Virtual Console, they pull me back in again.

(Yes, I know I have both on ROM. I know that I've beaten both of them into bloody, submissive pulps. But at the very least, PSII has to be bought, just to show the Nintendo Gods "YES! GIVE ME MORE PHANTASY STAR! MORE MORE MORE! NO MORE ONLINE FAGGOTRY!"

*facepalm*

I'd get PS2 in the Sega Genesis Collection instead, assuming you don't already have Sega Smash Pack for Dreamcast.

Trust me, I don't need the download. I can play PS2 on my Genesis. I can play it on my computer. I can play it on my Nomad, on my GBA, on Gametap, and even on the forementioned Genesis Collections. If Sega and their pimps... er, I mean, holders Sammy put as much effort into making a new "real" Phantasy Star game as they did into making sure I can play PS2 every way I can think of, I wouldn't have to cry myself to sleep at night.

But I feel like we need to make a statement by buying the right games; after all, the free market works.

I don't expect others to follow my example. I have enough money so that I can afford to spend $8, so I do to make a point. I've given less to bums on the streets of Northampton. That's not meaning that I'm better than anyone; far from it. It's just that I have the comfort to make statements that I haven't been able to make when my funds were tighter.
