God, American politics are stupid...

Only in a circular, retarded system like the Democratic Party can a lead turn into a deficit!

"Obama's winning!"
"But he hasn't knocked out Clinton yet!"
"More delegates, and more votes... he's winning!"
"He can't carry white voters!"
"He can't beat McCain!"
"He's BEEN winning!"
"Obviously, Barack Obama is wrong for this party..."
"That just means that she's really the right choice to put the Democrats in the White House!"

I don't know what's worse: that, or this whole demographic bullshit. "Obama's carrying the blacks! Hillary's carrying white voters! Obama's carrying the rich, Hillary the poor!". The only reason they're carrying those demographics so hard is because the media says so, which means the public - who are lazy, stupid and completely immobile - buy into it. "Oh no... he says we rely on God and Guns? Well, Fox News says that's elitist... that elitist bastard! I'ma vote for Hillary, look at her downing shots like a bar tramp! YEEE-HAW!". Instead of looking into ourselves, wondering what went wrong and how we got here, and accepting criticism for what it is, and maybe - just maybe - taking sound bites and trying to apply some context to them, we get reflexive at a 5 second clip of sound they play on one of the... what, four? - yeah, FOUR 24 hour news stations, which then gets beaten into the ground with vitriol from every dumb talking head in the country that's got an instant book to sell, and react off of them because there's not enough time in the day to look into what someone is saying, because hey, House is on! Oh, House, you darling rebel... <3

I'll give everyone an example: in the video game community, Obama's taken a liking for telling everyone to turn the video games off. "OH NO! OBAMA IS SAYING THAT VIDEO GAMES ARE BAD!!!!" He is? Let's look...

“We’re going to have to parent better, and turn off the television set, and put the video games away, and instill a sense of excellence in our children, and that’s going to take some time.”

No, sounds to me like he's RIGHT. There needs to be a balance in everyone's life. If I was allowed to do nothing but play video games as a kid, I just might have! And I'd have likely contributed to the Obesity Epidemic™ while I was at it. But instead, my mother set rules: go outside during the daytime. Limited video game time during the week (or none, if my grades suffered). No games until after homework. It's that simple! It's really that simple! But no, no one's smart enough to think like that. They'd rather take everything personally, and Hillary Clinton - and the Republican Hate Machine, don't think I'm letting THEM off the hook - are only too quick to play along with that. Barack Obama - or anyone - being declared "unelectable" becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy when the public falls for it, and the American public is too stupid not to.

We can't even talk about the fucking issues anymore. Shit, save the economy and Iraq, I don't even know what the issues ARE anymore! I have to Google up where these people stand, and how they vote. But that's not an issue! Reverend Wright - who I am derisively calling "Reverend WHOOP There It Is", after the way he shucked and jived in his NPC discussion - is an issue! Some dudes from the 60s, they're issues! Forget Hillary and Bill's rap sheet, no one's talking about fuckin' Whitewater!

Do I think Obama's the right man to lead America? Not really; I buy less into his "hopes and dreams" politics than I do into the fact that he makes his votes as often as I make it in for routine doctor's checkups, that he's probably going to tax the shit out of any American that doesn't have a lobbying arm in Washington to stymie progress, and that generally speaking he's too liberal for my own centrist/Libertarian tastes. But I don't care about any of this bullshit they're going after him about now - shit which effectively cost him said white voters in said "key" states - just like I didn't care about the shit they were attacking Hillary for.

All I DO know is that we're a two party country, and one of the parties is completely and utterly incompetent.

(PS: Hillary? You want to help the Democrats get into the White House? Then GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY. You're breaking the damn party apart)

I'm still really confused. Why are they so busy slinging mud at EACH OTHER? Isn't this distracting them from slinging mud at MCCAIN? McCain being a Republican and all?

Also, is this effing election OVER yet?

Actually, I'd have to disagree here. As long as she still has a chance at it (in other words, until this morning) there's no reason for her to step down.

Besides, for all this whining about how they're dividing the party and giving McCain a lead... Good grief, when was the last time anyone talked about McCain? You can't get a lead when no one's paying attention to you. A couple polls recently even put the democrats to beat McCain regardless of who ran.

At this point, Hils can't win even if she cheats and gets Michigan and Flordia given to her (slim fucking chance of THAT). Her personal greed and vindictive nature has probably hurt the democrats as a whole in this race, but what does she care? She wants her shiny, god damn it, and if she can't have it, no one can!

I'm voting for McCain...

I really can't say much more than that. The Democratic party is fucking ridiculous, just as much as the college students who shout "GO OBAMA!!!" but don't have a clue that he's just hiding his greed and corruption behind the preface of The American Dream for All (tm).

Personally, I'll wait to vote for McCain until I see who his VP is going to be.

Fred Thompson? SIGN ME UP!

Mitt Romney? Meh, OK, I'll take a flyer.

Rudy Guiliani? *wince* ... Mm. Let's talk later.

What I like most about the US electoral system is that it's possible for someone to get less votes then the other guy and still win. With the Democrats "super delegates" and the republicans "winner takes all".

God bless Democracy!
