So I went to Gamestop earlier and got some stuff; mostly cheap, used games (including a second copy of Ace Combat 4, to send to Fenix), and a super secret game for super secret reasons, and just emptied my bag.

I have more cases than games.

The extra case.. is a new case for Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. Only one of the most pathetic, transparent cash-ins I've ever seen, and easily a list, all by itself, of everything that's currently wrong with JRPGs in 2008. I don't think I could hate a game I've never played more.

I don't know whether to throw this thing out or sacrifice it.

Re:CoM worked a lot better as a combo game with KH2: Final Mix, that is entirely for sure.

So... how is it that you just magically got an empty case for a game?

The same retarded clerk that put the Namco Museum 50th Anniversary disc (2005) into the original Namco Museum case (2001).

Oh, and the game he gave me is PS2. I wanted XBox.

I'm trying to imagine how that's even possible.

I don't know, but now I know that in that particular store, I'm going to have to check my merchandise whenever I leave. Like I'm leaving McDonalds, and have been served by someone who's been off the boat for all of seven minutes.

Why is it that, from what I've heard you say, every Gamestop in your area is mind-numbingly retarded? I've never had any problems with the two that are somewhat in my area (a thirty or forty-five minute drive away, respecively).

Not EVERY Gamestop. The one I had the issue with is above the one I usually go to (which is flawless), but the one downstairs is still recovering from what can best be termed the Christmas pillaging; the store looked like a bomb hit it, and the stock hadn't been replaced yet. And the one in Trumbull is good.

Everywhere else? Anywhere from teetering the "average" line, to completely plonkers. I love the one bitch in Derby who think acts special because she's an attractive woman at a Gamestop. I want to remind her that her tits are her only redeeming value, and those aren't even really "redeeming".

Milady is a big Kingdom Hearts fan, but she finds COM confusing, even the PS2 version, which I got her as a present on its release day. ^_^; I think I like it better than the two main KH games, but I'm not sure that's saying much.

I think Dale liked Re:COM so I'd wager a debate in this post.

(including a second copy of Ace Combat 4, to send to Fenix)

Could you send me two copies? One to play and one to masturbate over? :(

I haven't play Re:COM yet, only the original GBA version. If you were expecting a debate, sorry, I can't speak on the subject with any sort of authority at this point, and besides I've always swung dramatically between loving and hating the franchise.

That said, I do wish he would go through the trouble of explaining why he thinks its a cash-in instead of vauge hints at an "example of everything that's wrong with JRPGs". -_-

The series's fans pushed really hard to get Square Enix to release this here and they deserve it.

There. Now are you happy? Bah humbug.

Well, aren't YOU fucking demanding?

First off, wasn't this game already released on the Game Boy? I could have sworn I've seen this game before.

Secondly, it's a $30 expansion. Yes, it's a stand alone expansion, but an expansion nonetheless.

Plus, there's the fun of this being more typical Kingdom Hearts tripe that we've come to get used to. It is little more than a glorified yaoi manga as told by Winnie the Pooh. That's it.

You wound me! I'm not the one demanding a debate, Pheonix is. ;_;

Yes, it was a Game Boy Advance game and I've already listed my thoughts on the original. That said, the game was a bonus tie-in for the Final Mix version of Kingdom Hearts II. When you bought Final Mix, RE: Chain of Memories came packaged with it. A lot of fans wanted RE:CoM to come out over here, so Square Enix obliged them. I'd prefer Final Mix, personally, but whatever.

That said, let's be honest: Yes, it is an expansion. And, as noted here, I think $20 would have been a better price for the thing. (Then again, most "new" PS2 games that have come out this year expect people to pay the full $50. Pfft. Forget that.)

Plus, there's the fun of this being more typical Kingdom Hearts tripe that we've come to get used to. It is little more than a glorified yaoi manga as told by Winnie the Pooh. That's it.

Examples would be nice, because this is the part that never makes sense to me when you start ranting on the series. I can't say I'm too keen on Nomura's storytelling style, but it's hardly Loveless.
