  • 00:21:25: According to @keithlaw the Mariners have kept Felix Hernandez with a multiyear deal. Loyalty works wonders in Seattle. Pay attention, Mets.
  • 00:25:20: @twelveicings How many straight is that? Five?
  • 00:59:37: ... 9-1? Five straight losses? The Flames are in trouble.
  • 01:21:00: On the one hand, I can't concentrate on this VC article. On the other, I've taken sleeping pills. So I'm on a time limit.
  • 01:25:16: To all hip hop heads: remember Souls of Mischief? Don't mind me, I'll be chillin'... from '93 'til infinity.
  • 01:32:51: Having signed into Youtube for the first time since I reformatted, I noticed I'm already logged in. That is fucking FREAKY.
  • 02:19:34: @burning_phoneix That's the thing: this is a fresh Firefox install. it's because I use Google Reader. What's freaky...
  • 02:20:29: @burning_phoneix is that way too much of my internet life - my RSS reader, videos, email - are tied into Google, and it's all automatic.
  • 12:12:29: @motherpucker Looking at the NHL rule book, I cannot believe that this is the league without a head contact penalty. Unreal.
  • 12:22:00: I love a country where a special election in one state can end the healthcare bill for the entire nation. On that note, Go Scott Brown!
  • 14:11:28: Chan Gailey in Buffalo? What, was Dennis Green not returning phone calls?
  • 16:44:24: Question: if Martha Coakley runs such a bad campaign in a Democratic state, how the fuck is she going to do as a senator?
  • 20:45:35: @SPBowley I hear losing streaks are bad for one's health.
  • 20:50:00: There's a lot to be depressed about with tonight's senate election. On the one hand, Martha Coaxley is a terrible candidate, and should lose
  • 20:51:05: On the other hand, the fact that a majority is no longer a majority bothers me, and that one Senate election can effectively kill a bill.
  • 20:52:16: Don't get me wrong; I don't like the health care bill, and wish the worst on Pelosi. But this is a bad omen for our "democracy"
  • 20:53:28: Furthermore, voters are idiots. They gave Obama a whopping year. He didn't work a miracle. Somehow, this is his fault, and his alone.
  • 20:54:01: Republicans held firm, said no to every single thing he put out, and are going to be rewarded for it. That scares me. We need a 3rd party!
  • 21:08:30: Here's a question for Mass.: is Coaxley losing because of OMG OBAMA, or is it because she comes off as an entitled, smarmy bitch?
  • 21:08:53: @raywashere Then how the fuck did George Bush get two terms?
  • 21:26:29: Who lit a fire under the Rangers!? Even Aaron Voros is scoring!
  • 21:42:46: @raywashere The Republicans didn't win '04 on the economy. They won '04 on fear of a terrorist attack, which brings it's own laughable irony
  • 21:57:17: @raywashere Also, how much of the economy - which failed before the election - is really the Democrats' fault? Really?
  • 22:24:01: So our military shows up in Haiti a week late, occupies it, and we're supposed to believe this isn't a convenient hostile takeover? Bullshit
  • 22:59:31: @raywashere This is why I insist on a third party. At this point? I don't even care which one, at this point!
  • 23:17:13: @raywashere And the Whigs! We need more Whigs!
  • 23:21:27: Oh boy! Bioshock 2 on Steam comes with Bioshock 1! Also included: free SecuROM!
  • 23:45:56: The most telling thing about the senate election: Democratic leaders were pointing fingers DAYS AGO. Even Palin's people waited until after!

So...how is America even going to justify occupying Haiti? I don't think it's malicious.

And I'm supposed to be skeptical of US foreign policy more than you. :P

The U.S. (indirectly) ruled Haiti for fifteen years, recall, and there have been multiple occupations since then, typically one per decade. Not malicious, IMO, just something that happens on a regular basis.

Huh? didn't the Duvaliers rule Haiti for decades?

At this point, 'Bus, I am convinced that U.S. voters are no longer deserving of the right to make important decisions. :-| Ignorance, laziness, and irrationality are so prevalent in the majority that the majority cannot be trusted to do anything responsible.

This is basically the richest country EVAR, yet it fails to produce a higher kind of populace as it should.

The alternatives are worse.

Just sayin'.
